got my visa today
 
yep confirmation via email that i got the PR visa, must be validated by 28th June 2006, yay!

thanks to all the forum users for making this site a very valuable resource for visa stuff and Australia in general,

good luck to all those still waiting

we are off to melbourne in the summer!!!

Congratulations, great chrissy pressie for you!!!

What visa did you apply for as I thought it was 12 months validation period on all visas. We got ours 19th Aug 2005 to validate no later than July 2006.

Have fab Christmas, best wishes to you and your family

Applied for de-facto spouse, apparently you can get PR if you have been with aussie partner more than 2 years & have a child together, yeah its 12 months but based on the dates of police checks which i sorted in june/july this year (2005) thats why only 6 months to validate
