Meds requested June 2003
Visa granted Oct 27th
Got envelope 11th October (bloody postal strike)

We're really looking forward to it all now, Brisbane bound

Hi tracey, we went the skilled independant 136 route as me as the main applicant. We went as a de-facto couple. It was just under 11 months from main application to visa granted.

Also, we never used an agent, heard too many stories about them all

Hi there, hopefully feb, march 2004, once all the loose ends are sorted at this end.

I've noticed flight prices go right down in April, one way to OZ, Are you sorting out somewhere to stay before you get there?

We've booked a bed and breakfast that has a couple of self-contained units. I've only got it for a couple of weeks, but hopefully that will be enough time to find somewhere to rent. We don't even know where we want to live yet, but we have a couple of starting points.

hi there, thanks for all the support from everyone, we did it ourselves cos theres only the 2 of us, no kids you see and the application didnt look that difficult, getting everything copied and countersigned was the worst bit for us.

Anyhow, what do agents actually do??

Great news for you. Can't wait for it to be us. We are going down the same route as you, de-facto but I will be the main applicant (teacher) and Andrew will be the add on, he won't like it phrased like that LMAO. We or should I say I am going to do all paperwork if we ever get Andrew's City and Guilds stuff for his TRA assessment. All my stuff is ready. Getting our things certified should be quite painless now as my solicitor is now working from my Dad's office. I give stuff to dad, Steve signs it and gives it back. Great having family friend as solicitor. Anyway hope all goes well for you, hopefully see you at Brissie meet in near future.
