Default Goodna....?

Can anyone tell me what the area of Goodna is like?

We are over to Brissie on a reckie in 6 weeks time, but don't want to go wasting time looking at properties in this area if it is "questionable"!!!

Thanks

As with quite a lot of suburbs (and not just in Australia) there are some rough places and some nice parts. The outskirts of Goodna are quite nice but as you get near the centre it starts to look a bit seedy.
It has also got a bit of a reputation for being rough but the area seems to be making an effort to re-invent itself.

Just down the road is the next suburb Camira which has semi rural property at very reasonable prices and seems to be becoming the 'next big thing' so it may be worth a look.

Drive down the Ipswich Highway heading west.

Take a left to Redbank Plains, and you come across Goodna.

AKA - Goddna Gracious Me !!!

Not a bad spot actually, but does suffer from a bit of a "bad renters area " rep !

Camira is nicer !
Springfield Lakes is Nicer.

But then totally different properties.

Most homes ive worked on in Goodna, are Weatherboard finish. So kinda late 50's build. Meaning quite small, and lots of painting, and poss asbestos issues.

As you drive down the highway, west, the rhs suburbs are considered a tad posher. Thats the moggil side.
