Hi Guys,

How is everyone this morning, it is bright and sunny here in Perth. Had telephone call last night, my parents and sister have finally decided to emigrate out here, Mum & Dad are coming on CP visa and sis will follow on remaining relative one a bit later.
Now I am searching for a UK migration agent who I used myself 9 years ago, he was a one man band and used to advertise in the asutralian news, his name is John Fairley, but when I moved to Perth I threw out all my migration paperwork as I now have the citizenship cert and little blue passport.

I remember someone saying that they paid him his fee, then he broke his leg and they hadn't heard from him since, thats the last I hear from him, so if anyone has his contact number I would be grateful, personally he was great with me and got my visa easily

More than one person claimed Mr. Fairley ran off with their money.

One also claimed he had been sectioned.

Maybe you should seek an alternative agent.

I just checked the MARA register and he's not got a current number. Whether he ever was registered or not, I don't know, but maybe you could try Google search?

Hmmmm.... if I had a choice between a registered agent with a great reputation and some dodgy guy who is not registered and has recently ripped people off I know who I'd chose.

Who cares if they did a good job for you a few years ago. There are lots of great migration agents to chose from so I'm not sure why you'd risk it. If he's not registered that should tell you all you need to know.

I did have a quick look for this guy and came up with nothing. If you do find him I'd urge you to be very cautious and go in with your eyes wide open.

I did a google search for him and found nothing. Funny thing was he was never in the office, always playing Golf or flying to Perth to see his daughter! But as I said he got me my visa 9 years ago, just thought I would see if he was still around.

maybe I had a lucky escape!

We used a company called Ian Harrop & Associates when we migrated 7 years ago. They have an office in London and somewhere else that I cant remember. Anyway we did everything over the phone and the guy we used in London was called Zeno (a perthite), we were very happy with them, we had our visa in 6 months of applying.

I used www.isa.com.au for both our then 136's and later a CP visa.

They are based in Perth and well worth using and I have been dealing with them for some 3 years and fnd them very friendly and you deal with the same people. It goes without saying that I find them very professional.
