Thumbs up Good hotels in Sydney & Adelaide?

Hi everyone....

Got our 1st trip booked at the end of March to validate our visas....

Planning to spend a few days in Sydney and then on to Adelaide.

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel in downtown Sydney and/or Adelaide? (Don't want to spend much more than AUD$150 per night).

Thanks!

Emma & Jim

Hava a look at www.wotif.com.au and www.travelodge.com.au . The travelodge at Martin Place is in a good location.

Hi,

we have stayed at the Corus (paid $99 a night from wotif) which is a good location for walking to the bridge, opera house and darling harbour. Nothing special and only views from higher floors but would always be happy enough to stay there, and my daughter has stayed at an apartment called the Meriton World Tower (or Square not sure) and this is near the Queen Victoria Building and she (being 12) said the apartment was really cool! I think our friends said they paid $170 a night for a 2 bed apartment on the 60th floor but they have studios and 1 beds which would be cheaper. We might give it a try next time we go as it looks pretty nice on the net. Hope this is of some use to you.

The Adelaide Hilton is right in the centre and at the end of the Glenelg beach tramline. Very good. I don't know what their rates are but am sure you can get good discounts somewhere.
