good areas in brisbane

Default good areas in brisbane

hi will be moving to brisbane from adelaide at the end of september.was just wondering what areas are nice. did go to brisbane for the weekend to have a look round.looked at a place called robina and pacific pines.we came to adelaide from manchester last september.adelaide is not for us.want to be close to schools and of course shops.any info would be great. we will be renting first but want to be able to buy in the same area dont want kids to move schools again thanks audrey chris

Lot on here will recommend bayside Brisbane. I live in the West and can vouch for Toowong, Tarong, Indooroopilly, Chapel Hill, Kenmore, Kenmore Hills, Brookfield, Pullenvale. These are in order of going west: Toowong about 5Km from City, more units, houses on smaller blocks; Taringa similar, less inner city feel; by Indooroopilly, bigger blocks, pools, big shopping centre; Chapel Hill and Kenmore, lots of trees, more suburban than urban, good schools, bigger blocks; Brookfield and Pullenvale getting a bit more country, fewer shops, buses etc, beginning acreage, probably 10-15km from CBD
