Default Golf bags

Hi golfers and hackers,

just wondered on how you carried your bags for flights - hard bag which are expensive or a soft travel bag?

Cheers for any replies,
Cooler

Hard bag mate

1. Less chance for clubs getting damaged in transit
2. Golf bags are stupidly expensive here -buy yourself a new one that doesn't need replacing for a while

I used to just put my clubs in the hold as they were, until my bag got wrecked one trip. Then I bought a travel carrier with wheels which is really useful. Hubby had one without wheels (didn't need anything so girly!) which he has now given to his son and bought one with wheels.
Never had the solid hard case one - looked to big an unweildy for me. But defo suggest some sort of case.
American golf had one for £30 with wheels

My clubs have gone on many flights in a soft, wheeled, bag and haven't come to any grief.

Best to tape all the clubs together round the heads and put the playing bag's rain cover on.
