Golf bags
Hi golfers and hackers,
just wondered on how you carried your bags for flights - hard bag which are expensive or a soft travel bag?
Cheers for any replies,

Re: Golf bags
1. Less chance for clubs getting damaged in transit
2. Golf bags are stupidly expensive here -buy yourself a new one that doesn't need replacing for a while

Re: Golf bags
Never had the solid hard case one - looked to big an unweildy for me. But defo suggest some sort of case.
American golf had one for £30 with wheels

Re: Golf bags
My clubs have gone on many flights in a soft, wheeled, bag and haven't come to any grief.
Best to tape all the clubs together round the heads and put the playing bag's rain cover on.

Re: Golf bags
Thanks to you all for your help.
I think we'll certainly we get at least a soft bag.
kporte, we'll be living in Adelaide (hi mrmover...mm) but we are coming over to stay with our friends in Jamboree heights for Christmas so I guess I can bring my clubs
No visa today, but we'll get it soon and then I'll liven SA up
