Gold coast schools - Assisi and St Stephens
Hi,
Am looking at these schools together with Helensvale primary and secondary.
I have 2 boys aged 8 & 13 and hope to reach Oz by Jan/Feb 08.
Mad uniforms aside, I am leaning towards Assisi but, because it is so new, I am having difficulty finding out very much in the way of insider information.
Can anyone out there help please? I would also be interested in info about any of these schools being over-subscribed.
Cheers,
Ren

Hiya Ren
I contacted St Stephens for my son to start prep in January 08 but was told they were full. It may be a different situation for your son as he is a bit older. I would email them to find out. Sorry don't know about Assisi though.

Both have very good names from what I hear along with Coomera Anglican.
I'm bang in the middle of all of them really, but apart from seeing them hats ... ... I don't know much else other than what I state above.

Oh and dunno your situ, but if you can wait a few weeks I'll post some REAL pics of all of them from the street, not some website!

Too easy!

When we briefly considered the top end to live, we drove past St Stephens at kicking out time. Both girls said over their dead bodies when they saw the uniforms. I wouldn't have been able to hand over money for it to be honest My kids need to be happy and comfortable before they can learn. If they wind me up I threaten them with that uniform

Thanks that would be helpful. Watch your self though, I can see the headlines "brit caught photographing children at the school gates"

It is legal to take a photograph in a public place, although doing so continually at the same place or directed at the same person may constitute harassment.

Thanks. I might not have made it clear that it was a joke though.

Having said that, St. Stephens has a reputation for being a good school. It's certainly one of the better ones in the area.
