GOLD COAST PLAYGROUNDS
The Gold Coast has some of the most amazing parks in the nation - especially along the water - perfect for adults to take a morning walk and limber up for the day ahead.
One of the Coast's most popular playgrounds is opposite Australia Fair in Southport right on the Broadwater. There's the latest in park equipment including a couple of flying foxes. There are also water attractions making it a great spot to cool off. The newest instalment is a big net - designed to encourage climbing and swinging.
Merrimac's Fairy park on Inwood Circuit is more laid back. The Fairy Park is designed for little ones with a big imagination - there's a goblin cave, a troll bridge and mushrooms for dancing on.
In Tugun you can find one of the Coast's best skate parks. The Betty Diamond Sports Complex on Boyd Street has ramps, rails and pipes as well as other stuff skateboarders love to olly and oop over.
One of the most scenic parks has to be at Rainbow Bay. There's the beautiful beach, BBQs and some curious play equipment guaranteed to rock you silly or leave you in a spin.
Most of the coast's playgrounds are built for youngsters but adults are definitely allowed to test drive
