You are finally coming to the Gold Coast, I bet you can't wait and are counting down the days. I remember chatting briefly last year, I'm the guy with the minibus business, remember?
We have got blue, blue skies at the moment and have just come in for a cool down after sitting outside by the pool reading. The autums are great here.
Oh well, good luck for the move. Any questions just ask?

Not that I don't love being a part of the Brissie ones - but would be nice to meet fellow Coasters! (then we can take turns at being designated drivers! lol!)

We stayed at The Deville apartments in May/June 2000. It was brill, we were on the 18th floor for 8 weeks. I loved it there right on beach across from surf club.
Oh I can't wait to go back.
Sorry to jump in I'm just re-living my working holiday days!!
It cost us $360 per week for 2 bedroom apartment, it had all the mod cons. is it similar price now?

I have recently got into it while in Newquay, loved it and looking forward to doing a lot more, always looking for surfie/groms in the area.
Hi, we'll see how this meeting goes - but I'm sure there will be more. Whats a grom? I'm abouts that area - get in touch when you arrive if you wanna chat with an essentric Scots family! LOL!

I presume they must have been given the permanent rental rates as they were staying for a long time. A permanent rental is about $400 pw now.

How do find the area, we love it, we are in Surfers tomorrow for the big firework display & groups? (for free) It is things like that, which are the main reasons for us coming, during the week it is work as normal, but it is the option for the weekends that we didn't really have in the UK, or if we did we could't afford.
Hopefully we'll all catch up soon:

Anyway glad you finally made it here and your right, the Gold Coast is 'Paradise'. I have a 15 yr old girl at Helensvale school and its a good school. If you fancy meeting up sometime then either PM me or e-mail me at [email protected].
If its any help for people coming to the Gold Coast, I operate an airport transfer business and would be more than happy to transfer people from Brisbane airport etc.
