Re: Gold Coast curry night - 1st anniversay!
Hi all,
I'm a new member, just back 2 days ago to sunny Europe.
Gutted I missed this, as me and the other half have just come back from a 3 week holiday and decided that the gold coast is where we'd love to live. Broadbeach in particular.
Sorry to hi-jack your meet up thread, but thought as you are all settled in that area you may be able to give me some help with where is good to buy around the Broadbeach area...
We loved Benowa, but believe that as a foreign investor (which we'll be until the visa is all approved which could take a while) that we'd have to buy brand new. What are your thoughts on Royal Pines which a lot of the agents were directing us to... we had a look and it seemed nice but very pricey for the square foot available, and no gardens really, unless you just want to swing a cat!!
Could you maybe help out and give some suggestions on other new developments which are close to broadbeech and would be good investments in terms of nice areas and good places to live.
Would really appreciate some help and honest opinions, those real estate dudes would sell their own grandmothers for a fiver I think !
Cheers and hope to meet you all in the future,
Layna

Any group that would have me as a member I would steer clear of! Curry nights are 3 times a year, open to new arrivals or established poms and are a good place to share experiences, with people who have made the move (add a good curry and plenty of alcohol making a good night out).
