Going soon!
Hi all, not posted much recently as it's been so hectic...
We are off soon, packers come on Wednesday and Thursday and we complete on the house Friday, then it's into a hotel for the weekend and fly singapore airlines on the Monday...
Anyone else flying then, or heading to Adelaide at the moment.

Good luck for the future Mash,
We are still trying to get a buyer for the house and so do not expect to be in Adelaide until around the end of August or September time.
This part of the process is worse than waiting for the Visa.
Are you planning to meet up with any of the Adelaide Brits group when you get there?
I know you will have a lot to do once you arrive but as soon as it’s convenient it would be good to hear from you about how the journey went and your feelings on being an Adelaide resident!
Anyway all the best and it would be great to meet up some time so we can put a face to, and but a drink for, one of the most helpful members on this forum. Thanks for all of your good advice.

Thanks everyone, appreciate your thoughts and wishes. Headless chicken activity was organising an 8th birthday party for my son today. Glad thats over, but only leaves 3 short days till the packers come...
We will post when we get there, let you all know how it's going..

Best of luck with everything Mash. Seems a long time ago we were waiting to hear from Adelaide, doesn't it?
Hope the transition goes smoothly and you get everything sorted in time. Know what you mean about just wanting to be there now. We don't go until 30th September and can't wait.

Good luck with the last little bit. We'll phone and have a chat this week.
We are hopefully not too far behind you. We have three offers in on our house now. We're just waiting to see which one can get a buyer for themselves and proceed to instructing solicitors first! One confirmed this morning that he is keen to win that race and will probably get a bridging loan so we are very excited now.
We are having John Mason come to quote for removals next week. It would be nice to see how you get on in that department....
If we get to instruct the lawyers this week, we won't be long behind you, still hoping for 1st week in September.
Roll on our BBQ get together
