Default Going to Oz on holiday, two questions...

we're off to Oz in August, part holiday, part reccie.

Do we need a holiday visa? I've read summet on the Australian Embassy website but I wasn't convinced!

Also, if we're going to Cairns and surrounding areas, do we need shots for anything?

ta!

Yes you definitely need a visa. You can either apply for it on the Aus Embassy website or you can get your travel agent to do it for you. Either way you have to pay!! And its a Electronic visa so all they do is take your passport numbers so that when they scan it at immigration they know whether you have got a visa or not.

No, no, no. You mustn't have shots. It makes the meat taste funny.

Oh, and they're not necessary either
