Going back tothe UK for Christmas !!!
After a long search I finally managed to get some flights my friend is a Travel agent but couldn't get the deal I got.
I have flown with all of the major Airlines back to the UK and found all of them have their flaws and good aspects, if you are in economy that is the way it goes. We got our flights for $5600 flying Etihad on the 13th of Dec direct into Manchester then back on the 3rd of Jan.
I thought these were a bargain and with a nearly 2 year old it will be a welcome break at any of the Abu dabi or Singapore airports although we are paying to check into the lounge at Abu dabi. We also have family there should anything extend to long.
I got my flight through the flight centre, but then tried to get a cheaper flight through my rewards on my credit card they did to the price above 700 dollars cheaper so flight centre matched it and I didn;t need to use my points.
It will be good to see family not seen for 4 years. Woo Hoo!

Re: Going back tothe UK for Christmas !!!
Its funny the only reason we ended booking this is because we were looking for a great holiday in Fiji or Vanauatu in a resort type place, kids club, stuff for adults to do etc and there were no 2 bedroom apartments or rooms if so they ranged from 450 - 956 dollars a night so most of our quotes for a WEEK somewhere were between 3.5 and 5k.
So as my daughter will be under 2 we thought better now than when her fare goes up.
I do miss the much cheapness holidays to somewhere close in Europe occasionally.
