Going back to school...arrrggh!!!
After all the stress and lifechanging decisions in the last year - packing up a good job, leaving friends and family and buying a business in a rural town of a country I'd never even visited - and having spent most of my time here craving familiarity and stability I have just done the strangest thing....
This morning I turned down an offer of a secure well-paid job in order to go back to college full time and study for a couple of years......praps the sun has got to me but I suddenly feel much more positive and willing to take risks. I'll be back to working weekends to make a crust and watching day time TV on holidays which I honestly never thought I'd do again and I really am looking forward to it......how odd - perhaps I need medication... I am even daring to think that I have gotten over my homesick, negativity-prone, paranoid, neurotic phase - After all, as someone said to me at the weekend - if you have the guts to upsticks and move to the other side of the planet - you can do anything!! .....hmmmm Shocker...:confused: :scared: |

Good Luck I hope you enjoy it. I am doing a 1 year top up degree this year (which converts my HNC into a degree) I have to hand 3 assignments in next week and am on assignment avoidance at the moment - checking emails, looking at all sorts of website anything to prevent myself from getting on with the work! Will work harder tomorrow!
Best Wishes |
Good luck - at 34 I'm in the last year of a teaching degree. Started after working for 15 years. I love it and I am sure you will enjoy it.
