G'day mate,
We are looking to move to Melbourne (south east), around Nov/Dec time. Iam a chef to trade and we are also emigrating on a 136 skilled visa. What a long and painful journey from start to finish this is. Where are you planning to go and are you going yourself or do you have a family?

The stars are for amount of posts. The karma is waht you award to someone whe you think their post is worthy of it. Each time some one sends you karma it adds up to a blue box, 10 points for the first, 100 for the second as it happens i give out more points than most as I have more karma than most so I gave you over 100 points hence two blue boxes.

If you click on my profile at the top and look down the page you'll see the last 5 posters who awarded you karma

Hey James,

We are still trying to decide which agent to use , so early stages. Dont know wether to use an agent here or in Oz, any ideas ? As for the cat I will worry about that when the time comes. One of the reasons I chose Perth is the cheap house prices compared to Melbourne etc. Have you looked at property in Melbourne yet ?

Craig.

Graig,
We have priced countless properties in Melbourne and I do understand your comment with regards to prices ,but we are looking at approx 25-35 miles from CBD.We decided on Melbourne because I felt it would help my wife acclimatise to the heat etc.We used OE Visas as our agent,I am sure if you check previous thread you will read some horror stories about agents. We paid a lot of money and seemed to do a lot of the work on our application ourselves, but not all negative they did have their uses.

Hey James,

I am thinking of using George Lombard. He is cheaper than many other agents and gets rave reviews on this site. Is your agent in the UK or Oz .

I was looking at Visa - go ,also in Edinburgh , they seemed helpful on the phone but were a couple of hundred quid dearer than the others we looked at. I think we will go with an agent in Oz.
