Re: Global financial crisis!! Will it impact immigrants ?
Before the crash £100,000 was worth about $210,000 it is now worth about $250,000
So it will be better for UK migrants with cash in hand.
The higher price range of houses may stabalise or even drop, whilst the lower end are expected to rise slightly. This will impact different migrants in different ways.
Unemployment has been rising since the beginning of the year, and is expected to rise even faster now.
Those without experience will find it harder to find work, as most employers are expected to concentrate on quality employees again, rather than just whoever they can get.
Maybe those who answered no, do not expect it to impact on 'them', as there are undoubtable some people who will not be affected, in any significant way, by these things.

And if some of the predictions turn out to be true you can't blame him. Political (and social) suicide to keep immigration running at high levels while unemployment heads north towards 10%

Aus immigration comes in 2 forms:
1/ Labour
2/ Skills
One of these will be impacted more than the other IMO.

Was definitely on the cards IMO
Thats the advantage of a country like Australia. If you have an unemployemtn problem, close the door to immigrants for a year of so till things get better again.

Effectively what it will mean is that unless you are in a Health Profession (nurse, doctor etc...)where there is a global shortage the door will be closed.
