Hey Im just going through skills assesmnt before I apply for 176 visa . I'm looking to mov. To newcastle near Sydney . Is there any meet ups in Glasgow I'm be keen to meet with people my age that are also thinking or going to oz . I'm 28 .

Hi thought I would bump this thread. Has everyone gone or did you all fall out at the last meet up?

I am in Glasgow and trying to get out to Australia this year. It has been in the planning for a while but did not get enough points for the 175 so sending my cv of to agencies this now for sponsorship. Having to do pretty much the same paperwork all over again.

Anyone about?

Hey i have applied for the 176 now . The wait begin looks like along one by the looks of it ! No one ever got back about a meet up in glasgow so guessing there isnt one x

We had a few glasgow meets in 2009 and one in 2010.
They are always good fun. We'd be up for one if we can get enough people to go.
Anyone interested?

We are wating on our medical next week then we are hopefully done and will be heading over this year to validate.

We are heading to Queensland.

Anyone from the meets still in the uk or have you all made it over to Oz?

Hey folks

We would be interested in a meet up in Glasgow. We had our medicals done on 15th Dec and are just waiting (fingers crossed it will be soon). Applied for 175 in Jan 09.
Heading to Perth once we get our visa and if we ever sell our house!!

Glad I bumped this thread. We would like to meet up to pick brains/share experiences and information if thats ok! We have 2 young children would need a week or 2 notice to organise babysitting. I noticed that the meets before were held in Walkabout, I have no idea if its still open. Open to ideas.

Yeah we'd need a few weeks notice too for babysitting. Walkabout is still open as far as im aware. Where is everyone from? We are in Fife.

We are about 10 min outside Glasgow. I think Walkabout is still open. Would be great to meet up and have a blether with people who are going through the same. Can meet up any time - no kids!

we got some school holidays coming up in Feb so shall we try the end of Feb or begining of March. My husband works 2 weekends a month so have to plan ahead.
