Giving the school the thumbs up today.
 

Son 3 had major :eek: dental surgery recently, back at school a gang of 13 kids decided to bully the hell out of him for having slurred speech ( 2/3 week side effect of surgery ).

Anyway it really went off one lunchtime with some threats of a beating, not just teasing so 3 of his mates :thumbup: took him up the office to the principal and made a complaint.

School had them all up the office, good speaking to, a warning that repeat threats towards him and the culprits would be on inter school suspension, the usual no blame thing didnt seem to come into it, maybe due to the medical reasons.

Anyway today (Anzac day formal ceremony ) the acting principal put him and his recovered voice in charge of the anzac day speeches and he was the one who introduced all the honoured guests like the anzac guys who turned with medals etc. Then he got off school work to have morning tea with them all and chat to them.

Really pleased at how it was dealt with because it restored his confidence after a pretty nasty few weeks :thumbsup:

In all honesty that's inspirational and it must also be a huge relief to you as a parent to know he is being looked after.
