Hi there - been living in Sydney with my Aussie girlfriend since December. My UK passport runs out in a few months. What's the easiest way to go about getting it re-newed here in Australia and does my temp visa have to be transferred over to the new one (or do I just keep the old one)?

Any advice greatly received.

http://bhc.britaus.net/Passports/passportsdefault.asp is where you renew the paassport - High Commission in Canberra. You then take both passports to your local DIAC office, and they will put a visa sticker in your new passport.
