Getting sponsorship whilst waiting for permanent residency
I am about to send off my application for Independent Skilled Migration for Australia. As it takes approximately 97 weeks to gain the visa, I intend to go to Australia at the end of this year on a tourist visa and attempt to gain employment with sponsorship. I am an engineer and have a friend in Sydney who has put me in touch with an employment agency. They have said that they should be able to get me immediate sponsorship.
Is this a viable option? I know it’s a bit risky but I’d rather risk wasting an airline ticket than spend another winter here!
