Default Getting Sponsorship Whilst In Oz

Right, here's the situation; We've been here for 2 1/2 months now, we came over on a student visa, Est is studying heroically in Southport with a view to us applying for PR upon completion. I've been working as an electricity meter reader since arriving, doing 20 hours a week as per our visa limitations. My boss has offered me a permanent, full-time position but obviously I'm unable to take it on my current visa.

I mentioned sponsorship is the only option to employ temp residents in Ozon a FT basis, & he's asked me to find out about it. I've referred to immi.gov etc but haven't been able to get any answers as to whether the job can meet the requirements. As I'm new to researching this visa class, I could really do with a little info from anyone who can help.

Thanks in advance
Sam
