Getting post forwarded to Oz
 

Just wondering if anyone knows what's the best way to get post forwarded when you leave the UK for Oz?

I have just looked at Royal Mail and they want £110 for 12 months - and that's per person!

Its £110 for the year per surname not per person.

Think the Royal Mail is the only option, unless you have a friendly new owner/tenant who will do it for free :)

Be warned the service from the RM is very variable. I know some post just doesn't get forwarded, we changed address after 3 months and some still goes to the old address and I still have some forwarded here even though the forwarding ran out 3 months ago.

I would suggest you get it for 3 months and see what you have forgotton to cancel / change and then renew for possibly another 3 months. After a year its only junk mail we get now.

Can you redirect it to a friend/relative in the UK instead and just get them to scan and email anything important?

Hi

If you are keeping UK Bank accounts you will probably find they will change your contact adress to your Aus one.

We get all correspondance from Clydesdale Bank, MasterCard and Northern Rock sent direct to Aus, no extra cost.
