Default Getting nervous?? (cricket)

Just when things were looking bleak (for green and gold supporters) - England winning the toss on a good wicket, Strauss and Trescothick put on nearly a ton, Warnie strikes 3 times before lunch! Exciting times ahead for both teams. 3 for 115 at lunch or 115 for 3 as the English insist.

With our increased strength in the batting line-up we should still pass 400, which should guarantee at least a draw, problem for Aus is, who else is going to get any wickets the three non-Warne bowlers were all garbage.

Yeah, I tend to agree! Strauss and Pieterson still in, Flintoff, Collingwood, Jones and to a lesser extent Giles et al to come. I can't see what the other bowlers are like because I'm relying on internet scores, I don't mind if Warnie takes 10 BTW - he'll keep going all day, only bowled 7 so far.

Seriously, looks like being a nail biter before it is over.

It was all going so well too. Looking good on a good batting wicket then Warne steps up and does us in.
I still think it will be a draw due to weather so any wickets taken will be purely academic.

Looks like Warnie is going to take all 10! Pieterson his 4th victim. All on the first day on a flat track with a new ball. What's he going to do in the 2nd innings when it is roughed up a bit?

4/147.

I'm getting nervous now - good partnership between Strauss and Flintoff.

Yes, you should be. The 200 mark has gone now, I did not think we would get this far earlier tonight but we have settled down a bit and could do with a good knock from Freddie.

Bring back Warnie? Katich and Tait bowling

Has the 12th man been on 15 times yet to give the bowlers a rest?

All in all not a bad nights cricket for England. It started badly but after watching the highlights we picked up midway through the innings and brought ourselves back in to it.

I am looking forward to another interesting evening tonight.
