Getting credit in Aus?

Getting credit in Aus?
Hi there,
I have a poor uk credit record and i'm off to aus soon to live there. Will i be able to start again with credit, or will the banks etc still credit check my uk background? I will be earning good money when i'm there!

Nope! - you start again in Oz with no UK checks!

As far as i'm aware in order to get credit here most banks ask for at least 3 wage slips. so if your going to be earning good money here after getting a some wage slips you should be able to get a credit card.
