Getting a CC!
Hi folks,
I was wondering how we can get a CC from an aussie bank when we arrive.
Any funding requirement or a permanent job?
(On WHV - 6 months contracts).

I applied online a few weeks ago and got one 10 days later ...
Both me and partner don't work!

Only got a $1000 limit, but that'll do us. We only want it for the odd things that don't accept the Eftpos card.

We applied online with Commonwealth and got turned down point blank (and hubby is working). We then tried The National and was accepted there - we've now moved all of our banking to them!
. The good thing about the online application with the National is that they only ask you if you are a 'resident' not a 'permanent resident'!
