Default getting the best exchange rate for larger amounts of money

Has anyone got any advice about exchanging money for the best rate. We are currently selling our house and will have the equity to come to oz with later this summer and if anyone has any advice about how to exchange if for the best rate possible and transferring it safely into oz. This is one of my biggest worries.

Any other advice about the move generally would also be appreciated.

Use Ozforex (www.ukforex.com). They normally exchange at 100 points less than interbank rate, but you can negotiate this down if you have a large amount to change.

Agreed when you talk to ozforex, mention your intend total, and they give you a slightly better rates which is the locked into the auto quote system. You can then change it in smaller amounts.

The rates change constantly, and it'll can have a big affect on big amounts.. talk about the 10 % loss over the last 3 months ;(

Our Son & Daughter both used HiFX, they were very good. Better rates than the banks. www.Hifx,co.uk/migration
