Getting Aussie Driving License with 'Old' paper Uk one?

When it comes to getting your aussie license, is there any problems if you have one of the old UK ones (paper) without the photo ID?

Do you need to upgrade to the new photo ID licemse prior to leaving the UK?

I changed mine and only had my old paper one, you have to have your photo taken as the aussie ones are like a credit card size with your photo on. You can also choose how long it will run for eg 12 konths, 5 years etc

The paper ones are acceptable no probs.
