Default Gas permeable contact lenses

Are these freely available in Australia from opticians? They're a bit old hat I know, but it would be handy to know - if not I'll get a few pairs in the UK before I leave. These are the rigid type (not disposable or soft)

If not, has anyone found a good website selling them?

i thank you!

Have a look at a thread not too long a go - there have been a few suggestions on where to shop online:

I went for my first eye check the other week and was informed by the optician that Specsavers will be arriving in Oz sometime next year.

Thanks for all these suggestions- the aussie website's exactly what i'm after. Saved me from a fate worse than Mr McGoo.. I might consider laser surgery if it's cheaper than in the UK but that's a whole different story (and thread!) :-)
