gas fitter!! moving to Sydney
hello everyone!!!
I am 28 years old and have a girlfriend and a young daughter, am currently looking at starting my application for a PR. I am a heating installer in the uk and have been with british gas for 11 years. I was wondering if anyone has been through the process and how easy it was and what time scale I would be looking at for it to be completed. Also what is work like out there plenty of work??
Thanks guys

Those questions are a bit like "how long is a piece of string". Not only is there no set time, but also some individuals will be more focused and organised than others. I note you have been making similar enquiries for quite some time, so as someone that prefers to go at a slower pace and perhaps is not so focused, it may take you a while.
You have talked about licencing and jobs on your previous threads. Of course very relevant, but in order for you to make some progress with your move, I would suggest you focus on one thing at a time and that means visa first. Forget about licencing and jobs for now, they will come later and there will be jobs where there are people..
Your occupation of gasfitter is on the SOL which means you don't need sponsorship. So your next steps are to organise an IELTS test and skills assessment. The skills assessment can be the trickiest part of the whole process, from thereon, it is form filling in.
