Hell yes. Hardly anyone mows and edges their own lawn. There is plenty of competition though. Tree lopping and stumping are also common (we have annual green refuse collection by the council which focuses people's minds).

hi thanxs for the reply ..my partner works for the council over here at the mo.. would u think it could be possible for him to get a job within th oz council doing the same thing or would he have to go private??were only just looking into the move and are just trying to look at all possibilities..any info on perth or gardening wud b a big help thanxs x

I have a feeling the council's outsource their work. Franchises are very common in all lines of business over here so maybe that is an option or perhaps taking on someone else's rounds.
