Default Garden Leave

Hi all,

I have been put on garden leave today from work(a little sad), and we have accepted a offer on our house(hooray about time). I am a bit sad today cause things are starting to happen, I am happy I am going to Australia, is this normal to have these sad/happy days?

Jo

Very normal indeed, never pleasant to feel dislocated from your own life but it will all come together beautifully.

Enjoy the sun and garden.

Good luck

Best wishes for the house sale. Can I ask, what is Garden Leave? Never heard of that one before
I'm sure it's perfectly natural to have mixed feelings about taking such a big step. Some days I'm ecstatic, and other days I wonder what I am doing!
Good luck with all your plans.

Garden Leave is being paid to not come into work. Lucky bu88er! I have heard of it either during an investigation into conduct or because a person might learn confidential information they could take to a competitor etc.

Thanks Guys/Gals,

Worzel is right, Garden leave is being paid for not coming into work, but being available if they need you. It is because my replacement has been employed, and I work in IT.

Feeling better already

Ummmm... I want Garden leave.... please? There are so many things I would rather be doing than work, even if confined to my garden...

I'm sure this is normal, Jo. I even have feelings that swing up and down and I'm not even as far along as you. Enjoy your garden leave, soak up the sun and begin to fantasize about your new life.

Sarah
