Nice area. I like it. We made an offer on a house there but got pipped at the post by a counter offer :(

Very residential, family friendly and leafy. Property is relatively cheap (as you are about 8 Ks from the City).

The only public transport is by bus but there is an express service that I believe takes about 30 mins to the city (at good times).

The downside is that there is no public transport other than bus (but then most of Brisbane is like that anyway). Also, there are'nt much in terms of local shops (just a small shopping 'village'), and some people say the big negative factor is that there is only one main road into and out of the suburb, and that this gets pretty busy at peak times. Personally, I've found at peak times it's pretty good but that's just my experience. I've also found that what I call 'heavy traffic' (coming from London) and what an Australian calls it are pretty different ;)

So overall depends what you are looking for. If you are family-oriented, want a big house on a reasonable sized block and not too interested in having a local cafe and shopping culture, go for it. If not - then it won't suit you.
