Default Furthering Education In Australia?

Just thinking...

If I want to continue my education in Brisbane maybe go to university or back to college would I be classed as an international sudent on my perminent visa? And therefore have to pay ££££ more?

I wonder if can get a UK student loan and use it in Australia.

Its not a big deal for me really, I think I've washed my hands of education, but its nice to know your options.

Anyone know?

If you have a PR visa then you pay domestic fees. I wouldn't rate your chances of getting a UK student loan though

You should pay normal fee's (not international fee's) IF you get a commonwealth supported place (not guaranteed). On PR visa with commonwealth support you pay the normal fee's upfront with no discount or deferral option. If you were a citizen you can defer payments or if you choose to pay upfront you get approx 25% discount. So the benifits are obvious. The extra year on getting citizenship really kicks in at this point.

(this info is for Uni not sure on TAFE)
