I'm looking to take up a job offer in the newyear. My step daughter will be 18 and is keen to come with us. She currently studying highers at school in Scotland and wants to follow a course leading to a career in social work / probation. She is probably looking to take a foundation course at TAFE and then going on to University. Does anybody have any experience of this route and how highers would be viewed for entry.

I am interested in any information you get about this as my eldest son is sitting his highers in May 08. We were also wondering how these will be assessed by future Australian colleges/employers.

Might be worth checking university websites.

Also, check with someone like Vetassess or NOOSR to see if they can do a general assessment of equivalency.
