Further Education Loans
Do they have such a thing here? I have seen loans for university places but the course I have been accepted on is at the FTI in Fremantle, its only part time but I really want to do it.
I know in the UK they have career development loans but dont know if they have such a thing in WA, I have googled myself to death looking. I have some shares at work that I might see if they are worth selling otherwise its pulling money from the mortgage which I didnt really want to do.
Any ideas?

Is it a uni or a tafe course? There is some government funding available for vocational courses.
I found this website . You might need a magnifying glass to look through it though

The thing that came to mind that if it's nationally recognised place (which Fremantle tv inst is), if studying towards diploma etc you should be able to apply for Fee Help. Link to explain that further http://www.deewr.gov.au/skills/progr...s/default.aspx

And I have just tried to sell my shares but our company have my date of birth and address wrong and asked 'are you sure you were born in August?' and wont let me sell them.
This is proving to be tough but I wont give up, I have to whack down a $500 non refundable deposit.
Right, coffee and then i am doing more research and thanks again for helping me.

Sam, most Tafe studies are certificates as well and you can qualify for fee help with them so I'd probably try and find out straight from your place of study

Not quite sure off the top of my head but I will be selling as soon as I can and the money should be in my account by 9th March which is the date I am due to start college.

PP, before you commit to anything, have another look. Cert 4 defo qualifies for some help if you haven't got any higher Australian qualification already. I work for a training org and we offer cert 4 in training and assessment for $200 instead of $1500 for those who qualify. Of you want to pm me the details of the course and what quals you already have, I can look into it at work tomorrow
