Furniture and appliance rentals on the Gold Coast
We moved into our lovely new home a few days back and are 'camping out' until our stuff arrives from NZ, the container docks mid Dec but it's anyones guess how long it will take to be cleared and delivered with Christmas so close.
Most rentals have a cooker and dishwasher so we're ok for those, used blow up beds for the first couple of nights, bought a comfy patio set and matching coffee table from Bunnings (which works well both in the sitting room and on the deck) and then got some rental furniture delivered. Once we had the internet connected it was a breeze: well worth bringing a laptop with you if you have one as everything is at your fingertips.
There were a couple of places we looked at for hiring furniture but Renttoown.com.au were the fastest when it came to delivery - same day which was great, whereas some companies had a two week waiting list. They have a minimum 3 month rental period but you can choose to buy the furniture if you want to keep it, or just hand it back earlier.
Everything they delivered was brand new, including the beds, LCD TV, washing machine, vacuum cleaner and fridge and they hire out a wide range of household goods. Well priced too. The only thing they were short of was sofas due to high demand from holiday lets but we were ok for them anyway.
