Frog or toad?

It's finally raining in Perth and this fella appeared on our outdoor table. He's approx 5-6cm long, light brown with a lighter stripe down his spine and green spots on either side of it. Any ideas anyone? I know we're not supposed to have cane toads in Perth but............

not big enough to be a cane toad :p

hi,it's a frog, i believe they're known as motorbike frogs due to the noise they make,i used to fish them, and others, out my pool all the time.:cool:

There are no native toads in Australia and Cane Toads havent made it to Perth...yet.

Yes perhaps I should have said Cane Toads arent established in Perth yet so the chances of seeing one are extremely small.

Unless it was a baby cane toad of course. They're not born that size. :p

It's a Western Bell Frog AKA Motorbike Frog Litoria moorei, a native to south-western Australia.

The Bell Frogs are wartier than other tree frogs but tree frogs they are.

not exactly the cutest frog is it,the pics i downloaded were of the frogs i used to get in and around my pool,i used to hate cleaning out the filter, there was always a nice surprise waiting for me,:eek:

Hate frogs, thankfully in the 6 years I have lived in Perth I haven't seen one!
