Hi I used this forum many years ago before I moved to Australia and found it very helpful. So I thought it may be able to help me again. I have now been a single mum for over 2yrs now and find it hard to make new friends as my work is moving around the homes of elderly.

If there is anyone moving to Australia that like me knows no one over here or you too have become single and would like to make new friends then please feel free to chat with me

Hey pommie, how are you.?
I'm in a similar boat, I used this site 8 years ago, it was really helpful. I split from my wife at new year after 19 years. My son is 18, all my mates are married or kids live with them so at a loose end quite a bit.

Thanks for the reply Yes its hard when everyone disappears when a marriage ends isn't it.
