Fridges to Aus?

Has anyone taken over their fridge when they moved to Aus? My folks are moving over this year and I'm not sure if they can take theirs. The refrigerant in it is R134a (HFC) which is one of the latest for Europe but I'm not sure if Australia are ahead with their environmental procedures. Any info would be appreciated - cheers :)

You sound fairly knowledgable about the HFC but why don't you ask someone who is not quarter Irish and has SUCCESSFULLY completed an air conditioning course!!!!! :D

Macnet 1, thanks very much for that I'll tell my folks it's good to go. Anne4Terry, as someone who had to be dragged through the course by the top student you should remain in your ignorant bliss!!
