Re: Freshwater in Cairns
hi i have lived in cairns for 2years just moved back to the uk this week, i lived at redlynch just down the round and realy like freshwater, it is an older suburb with more established houses, mainly queenslanders, stratford is nearby, you have everything you need there, libary 2 good schools, restaurants, bottle shop, pub ! 2 great butchers,i believe that houses hold there prices very well in freshwater, its close to the airport and town and is ideal to get to the northern beaches, let me know if you need any more info,i have written this reply in a rush, so excuse any spellings,

Can't really add anything to what Rach has already posted but if you have any specific queries, I'll do my best to find out for you.

Re: Freshwater in Cairns
Stands on the fringe of the Baron River flood plain but I've only known the main road to go under in places 2 or 3 times in the last 5 years.
Housing runs adjacent to this main road with pretty gentle slopes upward to the foot of the rainforest of Mount Whitfield.
One of the older and established leafy suburbs and consequently older housing stock.
Very convenient location being within about 15 minutes of CBD, beaches and airport.
One of the better suburbs IMO.
