Default French Bulldogs

Hi.
I am considering emigrating to Oz with my partner, 3 kids and our French Bulldog Mac.
Does anyone have any experience of exporting a French Bulldog to Oz?
I have been told by some "experts" that none of the 3 airlines that transport dogs to Oz will take any snub nosed dogs at all. Others have told us that Quantas will take them. Either way i know it is a risky thing to do with this particular breed. Any thoughts on this problem would be appreciated.

Thanks
Julian

If you search the forum for snub noses the subject has come up several times, and I believe there are now no airlines that will carry them.

Hi I just found this on the Virgin Atlantic site - looks like the decision is out of their hands. The article doesn't say if it'd only certain airlines or all? Hope this helps

"Pug and snub nosed dogs are also refused carriage. The following have been identified as pug or snub nosed and will not be accepted, due to those types having a predisposition to breathing problems, as per the advice of Government Vets:

All Pugs
Pekingese
Boston Terrier
English Bulldog
Brussels Griffin
French Bulldog
English Toy Spaniel
Shih Tzu
Japanese Spaniel (Chin)"

I found this last night whilst looking for information on moving my cats.

http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Singapore_Air/pets.php

There is no mention of a French Bulldog. EDIT: Oh sorry it says "no snub nosed dogs"

If you have a nosey round the site, you may find similar for other airlines.
