Free-to-view TV in Perth

I recently went to Sydney for a holiday and some friends of ours over there had a 'freeview' set top box ontop of their tv's and they can recieve satellite channels for free, but the channels were not the Foxtel ones but some others.
Are these devices and systems available in Perth and if so who sells them?

We have Foxtel and the dish on the roof.

Thanks
