not as developed as UK in that you only get same channels via aerial.

worth getting if you have a widescreen tv to get widescreen signal. If bringing your UK tv you need one anyway. Or use Aus VCR.

Picture is better than UK as they use more bandwidth - you notice the difference watching the footy.

Can't you get new cable run from aerial? Not difficult to do yourself as long as you don't mind heights.
