Just sent in the app at the beginning of March. Hoping to be in Brisbane before the end of the AFL season.

Congrats on your BTW.

I would suggest that you get your medical and Police checks done now. Have you got a house to sell??

We want to be close to the city. Mrs M has seen loads of reasonably priced rentals within about 10km of the city. I'd love to be able to walk to work (assuming I'll work in the city) but definitely don't want a long journey. I know there are some real nice areas towards the coast but I'm not really bothered about being that close to the beach

No we sold it last Oct '04 and moved in with the in-laws

The idea was to get rid of the house in case the market went belly-up and so that we could save some money. Trouble is we spend all our money on just getting out of the house :D

We sent for police checks a couple of weeks back. Mrs M's is back already but they must be taking a bit longer writing mine :o Meds and x-rays are booked for this month already.
