You'll have a great time out, that's for sure. I would imagine you're right about Hobart being a bit limited compared to Sydney and Melbourne though I've never been. The only thing is that like many big cities, Melbourne has lots of areas to shop, whereas smaller cities tend to clump all their shops in one central place. Less choice, but more convenience.

Theres a mag called Bargain Shopper that lists loads of place all over Melbourne. It has a website www.bargainshopper.com.au but not sure how much info this gives :)

No flight booked for me just yet, but i'm hoping to go on 27th-28th May to Newcastle NSW.
Gav will be out there from 3rd May, and will hopefully already have found me a lovely place to lay my head once i arrive. Mind you.... we'll have no bed for weeks! :eek:

Our STNI form was sent by Victoria SMU last night so our visa isn't finalised yet but we're hoping for next week. Yesterday it was announced that General plumber(my classification) has been put on the MODL but can take up to 4 weeks to be official. Our agent told us we could get it but we always wanted to go to Melbourne before we even looked in to things. It would have been nice to have the option to go anywhere but frankly we've had enough and want it all over.
