Zero transaction fees
Zero ATM fees
'Best Everyday Bank Account' by Money magazine for the last six years.
Just have to deposit $2000.00 per month into the account. Very happy with it.
We also have a (free) HSBC account which has $10.00 transaction fee's between our First Direct account in the UK and HSBC Oz account, regardless of the amount.

Citibank.
US Customer service ethic - orders of magnitude better than the local counterparts.

I've got an HSBC current a/c and a BankWest internet savings a/c both free.
You can use any Westpac ATM for the HSBC account for free.

Citibank, no fees on international transfers is a nice bonus (their exchange rates are also decent).

And no charges on Citibank ATM withdrawals whilst travelling overseas, which is great in the US as Citi have thousands of ATMS.
In Australia Citi customers can also use Westpac, St George, Bank SA and Bank of Melbourne ATMs fee free.

I prefer Bankwest Hero Account (daily transaction account with a debit card). Earns 3.25% pa no fees if theres a monthly credit of at least $2k (need not be new money, you can move it around and recycle it). Can use CBA ATMs for free.

Citibank Plus. Free at home. Free when travelling. What more do you need!?

HSBC gets my vote again. I did switch to the NAB a while ago. I liked the "personal" approach that they offered, and actually seemed to be providing. But when it came down to the nitty gritty, they reverted to the system overriding the local branch decisions !!
I am back with old reliable HSBC. Perfect if you don't need to visit a branch.
Deposit money into any Post Office free of charge.
Use Westpac ATM's for free.
Mortgage lenders come to you, rather than you go to them
The switch to NAB was a total waste of time, for me.

Out of those 3 - NAB. Decent branch network, no minimum deposit required, plenty of ATMs.
I would never touch Citibank after very poor experience a few years ago.
If the branch and bank-specific ATMs are not important, then look at the Orange Everyday account with ING Direct.

I'm pretty keen on my ING orange account which is also free.
They have a great responsive customer service which is a huge help if needed.
