There are chips and crisps written on bags of crisps here depending on the brand.. Lays have potato chips written on the bag, I think smiths brand have crisps written on their bags( haven't got a bag on me, but if anyone has smiths on them, perhaps they can look at the packet and confirm this) . Both are made here in Aus and not imported.
Seems they can not make up their mind on what to call them here - both terms are used. I use the term crisps, and never have a prob. some people say potatoes chips , others like myself say crisps. Mr shopkeeper didn't mention that there are crisps in Aus. .. send him off to the test..lol
