Hi all,

We're moving to Melbourne in about 15 weeks and we've never actually been to Oz. I'm not overly concerned as the company I'm going to work for is taking care of a lot of the hassle, and I'll be busy working so won't have too much time to fret when I'm there.

However, I can't find a lot of photos of the areas we're planning to move to, to get a feel of the environment.

This has led to me using anecdotal evidence and my twisted mind combining to give me an impression of how Melbourne (and Oz in general looks). It goes something like this:

• Everybody is putting sausages on 'the barbie'
• Corked hats, weak beer, big waves/surfer doods
• Kangaroos on every corner, often saving kids who fell down holes
• Permanent sunshine

So, does anyone know of a site where photos of Melbourne exist?

Just put Melbourne into the search widnow, and you'll find more info than you'll ever need, all of which helps to prove that your image isn't 100% accurate!

They are, for some strange reason, called "snags"

Most people still fall over when partaking of the "weak beer"
