Default Former resident pension claim

We lived in Australia for 11 years from 1974-1985/6.
My mum worked the whole time we were out there and is due to retire here in the UK in April aged 60.
I have searched to find out if she would qualify for a pension from Australia?
The only things i can find are for returing former residents applying for their pensions in Australia.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Just found the centrelink site but it is more to do with Australian residents moving or staying in other countries. There is not a link with Australian and English pensions either. I think mum will have to phone them as you can't email centrelink.
Maybe contact works and pensions here?
Big can of worms this! .....

Do you mean state or employer pension? If the former, I think she's on a hiding to nothing as Oz state pensions are means-tested and (I think) only available to residents.

Super fund is the equivalent of private pension funds - as opposed to the State pension.

Given that it was in the days before compulsory super she may not have put anything into a private super fund but http://unclaimedsuper.com.au/ is a place you can check to see if she has anything left in a fund. As for a Centrelink aged payment - not going to happen.

Her Australian residence record may count for the purposes of a British state pension. Contact the DWP in Newcastle.
